Europe Visit
I took a trip to Europe, before it was the EU, when all the countries had their own currency, before the Berlin Wall came down, before the USSR became Russia, and before Chechlo-slovakia split apart. It was a different time in the world, communism ran rampant, and the threat of the nuclear arms race and the cold war still loomed, but never a threat of terrorism. It was a very cultural experience and I learned alot on the trip. I do remember the policy however, no American flag shirts, and hang low! I would like to share some links to some of the places I have been. I will add alot of my own european pictures as I get them scanned, but here are the places I visited. One of my favorites nowadays is Tivoli Gardens in Italy, and my favorite places when I was in Europe were Germany and Switzerland. As I look back now, Tivoli Gardens was one of the most elegant and memorable. Other places that stick wonderfully in my memory are Castle Thun, Neuschwanstein Castle, St. Pauls, The Cathedral in Koln, Hotel Ouden Ketting(or is it Getting) in Amsterdam, statue David, in fact most all of Michael Angelo's works, Rembrandts works, and of course the Anne Frank House.
Note; some of these links may get out of date and no longer work due to the amount of links to various sites. Please let us know if you find a broken link.
