The Mountain Hut

Part 2 - Choosing Gear in Sub-Arctic Conditions.

I am an ounce-cutter, but even though I am very pack-weight conscious, there is a definite line to be drawn when it comes to shedding gear(leaving it at home) out of the pack, or leaving much desired or needed items behind. The equipment pile is so large that it would take an entire dog sled to pile it all in if the need ever arose.

Lets just go through the primary list, mainly clothing, and I will create some more entries for stoves and the more technical gear later. Choices in clothes are very very important and can make a horribly uncomfortable trip into a gift from God.
